Text messaging
Organizations use Gable to answer questions from their own documents. Some let their people ask by text. This page explains how someone connects, what Gable sends, and how to stop. Gable is operated by Waypoint Systems LLC of Germantown, Tennessee.
An organization that turns on texting picks a keyword, a single word such as PANTHERS, and shares it with its own people: for example on a notice, in a newsletter, or at the front desk. Every keyword belongs to exactly one organization.
Gable does not publish a list of keywords, and it never obtains phone numbers any other way. It does not buy, rent, or import lists of numbers, and an organization cannot add anyone's number itself.
To connect, a person texts the organization's keyword to +1 (901) 675-5786. Every organization shares this one number; the keyword tells Gable which organization the person wants.
That inbound text is the opt-in. The person starts the conversation, and Gable replies only because they wrote first. Gable's first reply confirms the connection and states the terms:
They sendPANTHERS
Gable repliesGable for Riverside Academy: you're connected to Panther Helper. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
Riverside Academy and Panther Helper are examples. The real reply names the organization and its assistant.
Every message Gable sends is a reply to a message the person sent first: the confirmation above, an answer to their question, or a short notice, such as asking them to text a keyword before asking a question. Gable never sends marketing, promotional, or unsolicited messages, and never starts a conversation.
Reply STOP at any time to end all messages from this number (UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT work too). Gable sends one confirmation, and nothing after it unless the person texts HELP or START:
They sendSTOP
Gable repliesYou're opted out and won't get more messages from this number. Reply START to opt back in.
To opt back in later, reply START: “You're opted back in. Text your organization's keyword to get connected.”
Reply HELP for help:

Gable repliesGable: text your organization's keyword to connect, then ask a question. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Support: support@gablesystems.ai
Or email support@gablesystems.ai.
Phone numbers and consent to receive texts are never shared with or sold to third parties for marketing. A number is used only to send the reply and to enforce sending limits, and is shared only with Twilio, which delivers the messages. An organization's administrators see the last four digits of a number, never the whole number.
